“Our Father”

I want to give a special thank you to @upliftgallery & @trebla_art for including me in this self-portrait exhibit.

My piece “Our Father” reflects on who we come from and who we choose to be as adults. It serves as a poignant reminder that we can always choose positivity, and compassion, without allowing our upbringing to define us.

This self-portrait represents my own path of breaking generational cycles. Much of my work reflects on my journey through recovery; and with this particular piece, I explore how my father’s addiction influenced my childhood, how it was passed down to me, and how it was up to me to break the cycle.
